The format will include discussion, writing and experiential exercises inspired by Kate Levinson’s recent book, Emotional Currency: A Woman’s Guide to Building a Healthy Relationship with Money.

Karen Batka, MBA, RYT, MA, MFT Intern, is currently an MFT Intern with Holos Institute, a
Bereavement Intern at Hospice By the Bay and an MFT Intern at A.E. Kent Middle School who
specializes in Life Change Facilitation. Karen has facilitated multiple grief/bereavement groups for
general, family and spousal/partner loss as well as a Children’s Resiliency Program for middle
school students. During the last 23 years, she has lived and worked in four countries and five states
while mothering three daughters; these experiences have infused her work with insight, humor,
wisdom, compassion and presence.
